How to Enroll in Kids' Coding Classes: A 3-Step Guide for Parents in Indonesia

Enrolling your child in coding classes really comes down to three steps: book a free Master Class, take the session with your child, and choose the right package after you've seen it for yourself. This guide answers the questions most parents ask in group chats — from age and schedule to devices and what happens after the trial class.
Coding classes for kids today are nothing like they used to be, when the only option was to drive to a physical location and sign a six-month contract before knowing whether your child even fit. At Algonova the first step is free, done online, and doesn't demand a big decision from you that same day. This page isn't a sales pitch — it's meant to give you enough clarity that your decision feels calm.
The Three Steps to Enroll in a Kids' Coding Class
The flow is deliberately simple so parents never feel rushed. Each step has a clear purpose:
| Step | Time | What Happens |
|---|---|---|
| 1. Book a free Master Class | 2 minutes | You fill in a short form (child's name, age, preferred schedule). No credit card. |
| 2. Take the 60-minute session | 1 hour | Your child codes live with a certified teacher while our team runs an AI-based aptitude diagnostic. |
| 3. Receive a tailored recommendation | After the session | You get a snapshot of your child's level, a class recommendation, and package options. The decision stays 100% with you. |
What sets this flow apart from a standard brochure: you don't pay a cent before seeing your child actually learn. The Master Class isn't a marketing demo — your child works on real tasks, and you see for yourself whether the format fits.
Step 1: How to Book the Free Master Class
You can book the Master Class using the "Try Free" button on the Algonova coding programs page or from this article. The only things asked are:
- Child's name and age — so we can place them in a class matched to their school stage (primary, junior high, or high school).
- A parent's WhatsApp number — so our admin team can confirm the schedule and send the Zoom link.
- Preferred day/time — Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon, or weekdays after school. You choose what fits.
Once the form is submitted, our admin team usually replies via WhatsApp within 1–4 business hours. They'll confirm the schedule, send the Zoom link, and outline what to prepare (a laptop, internet access, a quiet study spot). No fees, no hidden charges.
Step 2: What Happens in the Master Class
The Master Class runs for 60 minutes on Zoom. Your child joins a virtual room with a teacher and usually 1–3 other kids their age. During the session:
- The teacher gives an age-appropriate coding challenge — in ScratchJr, Scratch, or Python depending on level.
- Your child does real work, not just watches. There are blocks to arrange, characters to move, or code to type out.
- The teacher observes reactions and learning patterns — does the child observe first before asking, or dive in and explore? That's the raw material for the diagnostic.
- Parents can sit alongside or watch from a distance — many parents are surprised to see their child more focused than in regular school.
After the session, the academic team analyses the results and produces a personal recommendation. This diagnostic isn't like a "skills test" — there are no good or bad marks. The goal is to find the right starting level so the child is neither bored (too easy) nor frustrated (too hard).
Step 3: After the Master Class, What's Next
Within 24 hours of the session, parents receive a summary that includes:
- Your child's current level and a target level three months out.
- A package recommendation — sessions per week, class format (group or semi-personal), and a teacher matched to their learning style.
- The full pricing information — not sent up front because every child needs a different plan, but always shared before any decision is made.
- Available regular schedule slots — you pick what fits your family routine best.
You don't have to decide the same day. Most parents take 1–3 days to talk it over with a partner and the child. The Algonova team won't chase with repeat calls. If you decide to continue, regular enrolment usually wraps up in 15 minutes via WhatsApp — send the details, pick a slot, receive an invoice.
