An International Tech School That Discovers and Develops Children's Talent
We help kids and teens find what they're naturally good at — and turn it into real, modern tech skills through individual learning paths.
10+ years of experience · 600K+ alumni · 90+ countries.
Most children don't yet know their own strengths. They're asked to choose a path before they've had a chance to explore — pushed toward careers they haven't discovered.
We believe success is not luck. It's the result of discovering your strengths, developing them, and applying them in the world. Algonova exists to make that path real for every child.
We don't just teach coding, math, or design. We guide kids through technology — helping each one find their direction, pace, and purpose.
We help children become successful — by discovering their strengths, developing them, and helping them realize their potential.

My daughter spent two years trying different courses — nothing stuck. At Algonova, the diagnostic class pinpointed her strength in visual design. Three months later she built her first website. The mentor really sees each child.

Rizky hated school. He loves Algonova. The difference is his mentor treats him like a real developer — gives him real problems, real tools. His confidence went from zero to visible in weeks.

I was nervous about online learning for a 7-year-old. But Fajar’s mentor made every class an adventure. Now he asks to code on weekends. That said everything.

What is Algonova and what is the company's mission?
Algonova is an online school for Indonesian kids and teens that teaches coding and mathematics through interactive, project-based methods. Founded in 2016, Algonova was born from the conviction that every Indonesian child deserves high-quality education in future-ready skills — regardless of geographic location or family economic background.
Our mission: open access to world-class technology and math education for Indonesian kids, from kindergarten to senior high. We believe coding and logical thinking skills are the basic literacy of the 21st century, as important as reading and writing.
Algonova serves thousands of families across Indonesia through live online classes with certified teachers, and through offline learning centres in major cities. Our long-term vision: every Indonesian child can create with technology, not just consume it.
Is Algonova Indonesia accredited or officially registered?
Yes, Algonova Indonesia is an officially registered educational entity operating in compliance with non-formal education regulations in Indonesia. We are registered as a provider of courses and training with the necessary operational permits to run educational programs for children.
Beyond official status as an institution, our coding and math curricula align with international standards. Coding material follows the MIT framework (for Scratch and ScratchJr), Code.org (CSTA Computer Science Standards), and the Python Software Foundation. Math curriculum aligns with Indonesia's Kurikulum Merdeka as well as the Cambridge Mathematics Framework.
Official certificates we award to students after completing each program level are recognised as evidence of digital extracurricular activity in many Indonesian schools. For specific information about accreditation or legal documents, contact the Algonova team via WhatsApp.
What ages does Algonova teach?
Algonova Indonesia serves children and teens aged 5 to 18 with curricula tailored to each age group and school level. Every learning track is designed considering attention span, cognitive ability, and interests at specific ages.
For kindergarten kids aged 5-7, we offer visual coding with ScratchJr and fun basic math introduction. For primary school kids aged 8-12, the program is more comprehensive covering Scratch, Roblox, Python Start, and primary school math. For junior high kids aged 13-15, focus is on Python, JavaScript, Web Development, and junior high math. For senior high teens aged 16-17, AI courses, UTBK SNBT preparation, and university portfolio.
A free trial class determines the most suitable starting point for your child based on age, ability, and interest.
Are Algonova teachers certified and experienced?
Yes, all Algonova Indonesia teachers are certified and go through a rigorous selection process before joining. Minimum requirements: bachelor's degree from relevant fields (computer science, engineering, mathematics, or education), minimum 2 years teaching experience, and passing Algonova's technical and pedagogical competence tests.
Beyond formal qualifications, our teachers receive special training to teach kids online — including techniques to build child confidence, maintain engagement in virtual class, and adapt methods to different learning styles. We also conduct regular performance evaluations based on parent feedback, child progress, and class observation.
Many Algonova teachers have additional experience: former engineers at tech companies (Gojek, Tokopedia, Traveloka), winners of math or informatics olympiad medals, or experienced educators from international schools. Our team is happy to introduce your child's prospective teacher before the first class.
How does the Algonova free trial class work?
Algonova Indonesia's free trial class is designed simple and no-commitment. The process is three steps: contact our team via WhatsApp or website form, the team schedules a session matched to the program of interest and child's age (30-90 minute duration depending on age), then the child joins a live class with a certified teacher and other Indonesian kids.
During the trial class, the child immediately tries the Algonova platform, interacts with the teacher, and completes a first project matched to their age — typically a simple animation for young kids, or a first Python program for teens. Real experience is far more informative than theoretical explanation.
After the session, the Algonova team provides a learning track recommendation and transparent explanation of program, schedule, and pricing. No pressure to enrol. No credit card needed. Many families need a few days afterwards to decide, and that's completely fine.
Are Algonova classes online or in-person?
Algonova Indonesia offers both formats: fully online with live sessions taught by certified teachers, and offline in-person at learning centres available in Jakarta and other major cities. The format is chosen based on family needs and preferences.
Online classes are highly flexible — kids learn from home without commute, small groups of up to 6 students with real-time two-way interaction, and the Algonova platform runs directly in the browser without special software installation. Suits families with busy schedules or those living outside major cities.
Offline classes suit kids who focus better outside the home, need social interaction with peers, or when parents want a more structured learning routine. Many families choose a combination: online on weekdays, offline on weekends. Our team helps choose the most suitable format.
What language are Algonova classes taught in?
Algonova Indonesia classes are available in two languages: Bahasa Indonesia (default) and English. The language of instruction is matched to family needs and preferences, as well as the child's school type (national, national plus, or international).
For families using Bahasa Indonesia daily or kids attending national schools, Bahasa Indonesia classes ensure the child absorbs concepts optimally. Learning materials, practice problems, and teacher communication are all in Bahasa Indonesia.
For kids attending international schools or speaking English at home, English classes are available with bilingual teachers or native English speakers. This format also suits families wanting their child to become familiar with English technical terminology (very useful for global tech careers).
Language choice can be changed as needed. The Algonova team helps determine the most suitable choice during the free trial class.
How does Algonova protect child data and privacy?
Child privacy and data security are Algonova Indonesia's highest priority. We comply with Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and apply the international COPPA (Children's Online Privacy Protection Act) standard to protect data of children under 13.
The child data we collect is minimal and only what is needed for class operations: name, age, school grade, and learning progress. Data is not shared with third parties, not sold, and not used for advertising. All data is encrypted and stored on secure servers with strict access controls.
During online classes, we have a platform safety policy: no child is alone with outsiders (all classes are monitored by admin), class recordings are only for internal review, and parent-teacher communication goes through official Algonova channels not private. Parents can request child data deletion at any time.
What sets Algonova apart from other tutoring or coding schools?
Algonova Indonesia differs from traditional tutoring or coding schools in four key ways. First, class size: maximum 6 kids (4 for kindergarten) versus 20-40 kids in standard offline bimbel — every Algonova child gets significantly more teacher attention.
Second, focus on teacher quality: all teachers are certified, many with industry experience at top Indonesian tech companies or olympiad medallists — different from bimbel that often uses students or part-time teachers without consistent standards.
Third, real project-based learning: children leave every program with a concrete portfolio (game, animation, website, or running Python program) — not just theoretical knowledge to pass exams.
Fourth, full transparency: the Algonova platform tracks child progress in detail and parents can view it anytime. Transparent pricing, no surprise fees, and a no-commitment free trial class.
Is Algonova safe and trustworthy?
**Yes. Algonova has operated since 2016 and is present in 90+ countries with more than 1,000,000 alumni.** Teaching quality is industry-recognized through the BETT MEA Awards and the EdTech Breakthrough Award. Classes are taught live by certified teachers in small groups — not recorded videos.
Parents can judge for themselves before committing: a free trial class is available with no obligation to enroll.
