What Is STEM: Meaning and Benefits for Kids

STEM is an educational approach that combines four disciplines — Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics — into one connected learning process. Instead of studying each subject in isolation, children use them together to understand and solve real-world problems around them. The term was popularized by the U.S. National Science Foundation in the early 2000s and is now a reference point for education worldwide.
