Question 1

From what age can kids start?

Accepted Answer

Kids can start from age 6. The first module, Digital Literacy, is built around visual games, so they don't need to read yet or have any prior experience to begin.

From there, Algonova offers learning paths for every age up to 17: coding with Scratch, Roblox and Python, plus graphic and digital design. Every class is live and online with a Spanish-speaking teacher.

The free trial class also works as a diagnostic: the teacher assesses your child's level and recommends the ideal course for their age and interests.

Question 2

Is there a free trial class?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Algonova offers a 100% free 60-minute trial class, online and with a real teacher. No credit card and no commitment are required.

It isn't a theory lesson: your child builds a mini-project from day one, so you immediately see how they learn and whether they enjoy the format.

The class also serves as a diagnostic to place them at the right level. You can book your spot in under a minute right from this page.

Question 3

Do they need prior experience in coding or design?

Accepted Answer

No, no prior experience is needed. The starter courses —Digital Literacy, Scratch and Junior Graphic Design— are designed for complete beginners, even kids who have never used a computer for this before.

If your child already codes or designs, the free class works as a diagnostic to place them in a more advanced level, such as Python or Senior Design.

In every case, the same teacher stays with your child for the whole course, adjusting the pace to their real level.

Question 4

How are the classes formatted?

Accepted Answer

They are live online classes with a Spanish-speaking teacher —never pre-recorded videos. There are three formats: 1-on-1 individual, a mini-group of 2 to 4 students, or a group of up to 10 students.

In every format the same teacher is assigned for the whole course, giving the student continuity and confidence.

Each module ends with a real project that your child presents.

Question 5

What do they need to take the classes?

Accepted Answer

Only three things: a computer or tablet, an internet connection and 90 quiet minutes for the class.

There's no software to install to get started, because we work directly in the browser. The platform is kid-friendly and available in Spanish.

Exercises and projects stay available 24/7 on the Algonova platform, so your child can review anytime.

Question 6

How long is a program?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the course. Foundation programs (Digital Literacy, Scratch, Junior Design) run 32 classes, while advanced programs (Python Start, Python Pro) run 64 classes —about 2 years with the same teacher.

Each module ends with a real project, so progress is measured by concrete results, not just hours.

When the course is complete, your child receives an Algonova certificate and a digital portfolio with all their projects.

Question 7

Can I pause the course if we travel?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can pause the course for up to 3 months without losing your spot or your paid classes. When you return, your child picks up exactly where they left off, with the same teacher.

For 1-on-1 classes you can also cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the lesson, and in every format you get a full refund for any unused classes.

Question 8

Is there a certificate at the end?

Accepted Answer

Yes. When the course is complete, your child receives an official Algonova certificate confirming the skills they've learned.

On top of that, each module ends with a real project, so learning is proven through tangible results, not just a piece of paper.

All those projects are gathered into a digital portfolio that stays on the platform —a great way to show, at school or later on, everything your child can do.

Question 9

How much does a class at Algonova cost?

Accepted Answer

Regular classes at Algonova start from US$ 7 per class. That price includes the live class with a Spanish-speaking teacher, 24/7 access to the Algonova platform with the course materials and exercises, and the certificate at the end of each course.

There are three formats: 1-on-1 individual, a mini-group of 2 to 4 students, and a group of up to 10 students.

The 60-minute trial class is free and no credit card is required.
