Designing a game

The idea, the rules, levels and difficulty. Children learn to think like a designer: why one game is fun and another is boring.

Roblox Studio and scripting

Building a world in Roblox Studio and bringing it to life with scripts: sequences, conditions and variables so a character moves and a score goes up. The same logic is used in any programming language.

Finishing a project

Each level ends with a finished game the child can play and show to friends — not an exercise abandoned halfway.

What is Roblox Studio and why use it to learn coding?

Roblox Studio is the official tool for building games on Roblox. A child builds their own world and then brings it to life with scripts. It works for learning because the child already knows Roblox as a player — the motivation is there — while the logic they learn is the same logic used in any programming language.

What age is the Roblox and game design course for?

The programme is designed for children aged 10–14. At this age a child can hold branching logic and finish a project that runs across several sessions. For younger children we suggest starting with a basic coding class first.

Does my child need coding experience?

No. The programme starts from zero. What matters more than prior coding is whether the child is interested in games and willing to finish something.

My child already plays Roblox for hours. How is this different?

In class the child moves from player to maker. They design the rules, write the scripts that make a character move, and fix what does not work. Screen time still happens, but the result is something they built and can show.

How many children are in a class?

It depends on the format: one-to-one private, a mini group of 2–4, or a group of 6–10. We recommend a format after the free diagnostic class, based on how your child learns.

Are classes live with a teacher or recorded video?

Live with a teacher, not recorded video. The child can ask a question the moment their script does not run.

Does my child get a certificate?

Yes, an official certificate after completing a set number of sessions. There are also diagnostic tests during the programme and regular progress reports for parents.

What equipment is needed?

A computer or laptop with a stable internet connection, since Roblox Studio only runs on a computer. Tablets and phones are not enough for building games.
